Women's Volleyball Sweeps Haskell and Simpson in Back-to-Back Matches

The Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball team put together a dominant wins on Thursday night, earning back-to-back sweeps over Haskell Indian Nations University and Simpson University.

Redhawks Roll Past Haskell (3–0)
Benedictine Mesa opened with a sweep over Haskell Indian Nations (25–15, 25–17, 25–21).
The Redhawks wasted no time setting the tone in the first set, capitalizing on early errors and finding their rhythm offensively. Kills from Sophie Drollinger and Railey Druxman, along with two service aces from Druxman, pushed Benedictine ahead. At the net, BelleRose Branconier and Janae Moore provided a strong defensive presence, helping secure the 25–15 win.
Set two was even more decisive, as Benedictine raced out to a 6–0 lead behind a dominant serving run from Drollinger. Contributions came from across the lineup, with Camille Collins and Moore adding kills, while Vivianna Galvan kept the offense in rhythm. Haskell managed a late push, but the Redhawks closed it out, 25–17.
Haskell battled hardest in the third, keeping the score close midway through the set. Drollinger delivered several clutch swings, Ortiz added a late ace, and Druxman sealed the sweep with a kill for the 25–21 finish.

Balanced Attack Powers Sweep of Simpson (3–0)
Benedictine Mesa followed up with another strong showing, taking down Simpson in straight sets (25–11, 25–20, 25–18).
The Redhawks stormed out to a 3–0 lead in the opener with kills from Moore and Branconier, both set up by Galvan. From there, the offense caught fire. Drollinger and Druxman consistently found the floor, while Collins added an ace to fuel a 7–1 run. With the attack spread across multiple hitters, Benedictine cruised to a 25–11 win.
Simpson showed more fight in set two, but the Redhawks' depth again proved decisive, as Drollinger, Moore, and Druxman powered key rallies. Galvan distributed the offense with precision, and Benedictine pulled away late to win 25–20.
In the third, Benedictine raced out to a 4–0 lead thanks to Simpson errors and a Drollinger kill. Ortiz provided a spark with two aces off the bench, while Collins and Druxman chipped in timely kills. Simpson briefly tied it at 12–12, but Moore, Drollinger, and Druxman fueled a closing run.
