The Benedictine Redhawks returned to form with a strong performance against Justice College, securing a 3–1 victory (25–14, 16–25, 25–15, 25–17) behind balanced scoring and a dominant front-row presence.
The opening set was all Benedictine, as the Redhawks jumped out to an early 6–1 lead fueled by kills from
Camille Collins and
Railey Druxman. Justice tried to respond with a short rally midway through, but Benedictine's attack never slowed. Collins,
Sophie Drollinger, and
Janae Moore each chipped in key kills as the Redhawks closed the set comfortably, 25–14.
Justice flipped the script in the second set, storming ahead 5–0 to start. Despite a few sparks from Drollinger and
Lily Setka, Benedictine struggled with errors and never found its rhythm. Justice's front line, led by Braydyn Calamity and Samantha Atwood, applied steady pressure and pulled away to even the match with a 25–16 win.
The third set saw the Redhawks bounce back with authority. Setter
Vivianna Galvan orchestrated a fast-paced offense, connecting with Collins, Druxman, and Moore to build an 11–6 lead. A service ace by Galvan and back-to-back kills from Drollinger kept Benedictine rolling as they took the set 25–15.
In the decisive fourth frame, Justice hung around early, but Benedictine's depth proved too much. Collins and Moore hammered down kills while Branconier anchored the block, pushing the Redhawks out to a 20–17 advantage. From there,
Adina Ortiz served aggressively, notching an ace and setting up Druxman and Moore for the final points. The Redhawks closed on a 5–0 run to seal the match 25–17.
