Benedictine University Mesa Athletics is excited to announce the hiring of Dave Barrett as the next head coach of the Redhawk golf program.

Barrett begins his first season at the helm of the Redhawk golf program, bringing more than four decades of experience in education and coaching. A native of Nebraska, he spent 41 years in public education, coaching a variety of sports and mentoring student-athletes at multiple levels throughout his career. Following his retirement, Barrett and his wife, Teresa, relocated to Queen Creek, Arizona, where they have lived for the past six years.

Barrett is eager to continue his coaching career at Benedictine University Mesa and is committed to fostering the growth of his student-athletes both on and off the course. His goal is to develop competitive golfers while helping them become responsible, productive, and impactful members of their communities.
