Redhawks Fall to UAV on the Road

LANCASTER, Calif. – Three Redhawks scoring in double-figures wasn't enough for the Benedictine basketball team, which fell on the road to Antelope Valley, 96-74, on Thursday in Lancaster, Calif. The Redhawks are now 7-12 overall and 5-6 in Cal Pac play.

Damian Zivak led the Redhawks in scoring with 18 points, also adding three rebounds and one assist. Quincy Reece and Alphonse Alfred added 15 and 10 points, respectively. Cam'Ron Davis and Michael Kirkland both finished with 9 points.

Dalton Smith led the Redhawks on the glass with 8 rebounds, five defensive and 3 offensive. Jamaal Wright added 5 rebounds while Reece also added 4 rebounds.

 

The Redhawks hit 28-of-54 field goals (51.9%), 11-of-19 three-pointers (57.9%), 7-of-16 free throws (43.8%) and had 28 rebounds to the Pioneers 29 rebounds.  The Redhawks committed 22 turnovers and stole the ball five times.  The Pioneers made 36-of-65 shots (55.4%), 6-of-20 three-pointers (30%) and 18-of-28 free throws (64.3%). The Redhawks committed 12 turnovers and stole the ball from the Redhawks 13 times.
