LANCASTER, Calif. – In an exciting match, Benedictine University Mesa faced off against the University of Antelope Valley, with the Redhawks emerging victorious with a final score of 2-1. The Redhawks improve to 6-6-2 overall and 4-4-2 in Cal Pac play.
The first half of the match saw both teams battling fiercely, resulting in a tie at the half-time mark. The Pioneers held the advantage until the 38th minute when
Aidan Klein managed to break through the UAV defense, scoring a crucial goal to tie the game.
As the second half got underway, the Pioneers were determined to take the lead. However, the Redhawks' defense held firm, frustrating their efforts. Then, in the 77th minute of the game,
Gabriel Waters delivered a pivotal goal on an assist from
Edwin Arias that ultimately secured the victory for the Redhawks. With that goal, the Redhawks took a 2-1 lead, putting themselves in a commanding position.
