SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The Benedictine University Mesa men's basketball team suffered a 67-54 defeat on the road at the University of Saint Katherine on Thursday evening. The Firebirds took an early lead and held it through the entire contest. Benedictine shot 39 percent in the contest while the Firebirds shot for 43 percent from the field. The Firebirds held a 37-to-32 advantage on the glass.

Jamaal Wright had 12 points and 8 rebounds in the contest while Damian Zivak had 11 points. Tre Carolina finished with 9 points while Alphonse Alfred and Michael Kirkland finished with 8 points.
