MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa baseball team extended their win streak to 20 games in the double header against ERAU on Friday afternoon. Both games were nailbiters and came down to the final innings for the Redhawks. In the first game game, the Redhawks overcame a narrow deficit in the 8th inning to win 8-4. The Redhawks overcame a four-run deficit in game two by putting up five runs in the 9th inning to take the walk-off win, 10-9.
Kevin Fitzgerald hit a .625 with 5 hits in eight at bats.
Anthony Sortino went 4-for-8 with two runs and two RBI, one of them being the walk-off single in game two.
Tyler Butterfield went 2-for-5 while
Josh Hernandez went 3-for-9 with three runs scored and two RBI.
