SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The Benedictine University mesa baseball team fell to the No. 1 seed Westmont, 7-2, on Tuesday, May 16 in Santa Barbara, Calif. The Redhawks overall record is now 43-13 and 1-1 at the Opening Round.
The Redhawks held the Warriors to just one run through four innings and answered back in the top of the fourth tying the game at one apiece. The Warriors put up two runs in the bottom of the fourth and three more in the sixth to increase their lead over the Redhawks. BenU answered for one run in the eighth but were unable to pull of the comeback.

The Redhawks will face off against the winner of game six between British Columbia and Vanguard. First pitch is set for 2:30 p.m. in Santa Barbara, Calif.
