MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball team picked up two wins in their home opener against Justice College. Game one went to the Redhawks 26-24, 25-8, 25-11 and the second game went 25-9, 25-11, 25-6.
The Redhawks tallied 73 kills averaging 12.17 kills per set and hit for .388 clip in the two matches. The defense totaled 57 digs averaging 9.5 digs per set. The Redhawks also finished with 26 service aces with
Christina Sanchez and
Hattie Patton leading the team with 6 and 5, respectively.
Amanda Klotz led the block with 4 blocks total, 3 assisted and one solo. The Redhawks were led by
Brianna Rivera with 17 kills and a .556 hitting percentage.
Hailey White finished with an impressive .917 clip and 11 kills.
Kylie Bartel added 12 kills for the Redhawks. Klotz also had 9 kills and had a.692 hitting percentage.
Annika Wallace had 44 assists to lead the Redhawks while
Haley Lopez finished with 14 asissts.
