HONOLULU, Hawaii – The Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball team opened the Magic Island Classic with a sweep over Truett-McConnell. The Redhawks took the match 25-10,25-20,25-20.
 
The Redhawks came out strong going on an 11-point run after being tied 2-2 with the Bears. The largest lead the Redhawks held in the first set was at 15 points. The Redhawks had 13 kills in the first set with a .348 hitting percentage. BenU held the Bears to just three kills and hitting negative. The Redhawks best set offensively came in the third with 20 kills and a .432 hitting percentage.
 
Brianna Rivera led the offense with 13 kills and a .545 hitting percentage. Kylie Bartel added 11 kills. Freshman Jewel Carling had 6 kills with a .444 hitting percentage. Hailey White had 5 kills hit for a .333 clip.
