CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa women's volleyball team picked up their eleventh sweep of the season with the win over crosstown rival Park University Gilbert. The Redhawks defeated the Bucs, 25-22,25-11,25-19.

Sonia Morales-Jones' 150
th win at the helm of the program. Jones has amassed a 150-87 record with the Redhawks, two Cal Pac titles, two National Tournament appearances, and was named Cal Pac Coach of the year for the 2022 season.
The match went back and forth in the first set with the Redhawks only being able to maintain a single or two-point lead over the Buccaneers before breaking away at the 17-15-point mark. The Bucs chipped away at BenU's lead to tie the game at 22-22. The Redhawks went on a 4-0 run to take set one.
The Redhawks went into set two taking a quick 9-1 lead before letting the Bucs score again. The largest lead of the set was 13 points with BenU having 23 points and Park having 10 points. The Redhawks took the set 25-11 and hit for a match high .296 clip while keeping Park at a .000 hitting percentage.
BenU went into set three keeping the same intensity, but the Buccaneers battled to keep the match with a couple points. The Redhawks broke away at the 14-15 mark and took a 7-point lead before the Bucs could get another point on the board. BenU hit for a .290 clip while the Bucs had a match high .217 hitting percentage.
Brianna Rivera led the Redhawks with 13 kills and a team high .556 hitting percentage.
Jewel Carling had a .500 clip with five kills in 8 attempts.
Kylie Bartel had 29 attempts and landed 12 kills for a .345 clip.
Hattie Patton led the team with 11 digs.
