The Benedictine Women's Basketball Team secured a victory against the Cal Maritime Keelhaulers Thursday night in Vallejo, CA.

Nyah Henderson opened the game for BenU by scoring a free throw and getting the energy going for the Redhawks. Throughout the first quarter, both teams battled for the lead, but the Redhawks finished the quarter ahead by 4 points, 17-13. A notable highlight was the Redhawks' impressive 8 steals compared to Cal Maritime's 2.

In the second quarter, the Redhawks went on an 8-point run, establishing a 23-15 lead. Although the Keelhaulers attempted a comeback,
Boo Zeller's jumper broke their streak and maintained the Redhawks' lead. Cal Maritime briefly closed the lead to one with a three-point shot, but
Raenesha Willis responded with a three-pointer of her own. The Redhawks steadily increased their lead, concluding the first half ahead by 13 points, 39-26.

The third quarter showcased the dominance of the Benedictine Women, outscoring Cal Maritime 18-8. Impressive shooting percentages of 75% from both the 3-point line and the free-throw line contributed to their success. Defensively, the Redhawks held the Keelhaulers to 30.8% shooting from the field and 0% from the 3-point line, finishing the quarter with a commanding 23-point lead, 57-34.

Heading into the fourth quarter, the Redhawks maintained their lead, starting with a 22-point advantage and extending it to 28 points with 3 minutes remaining, 69-41. Despite a few additional buckets from the Keelhaulers, it wasn't enough, and Cal Maritime ultimately fell to BenU, concluding the game with a score of 69-48.
