Women's Volleyball Sweep Justice in 3 Sets

The Benedictine Mesa Women's Volleyball team swept Justice in three sets, with final scores of 25-16, 25-21, and 25-12.

In the first set, Benedictine Mesa came out strong, with early kills from Keelan Memory and Jade Ridgway setting the tone. Service aces from Christina Sanchez and Makayla Simmons helped push the Redhawks to a 16-7 lead. Mya Barron dominated offensively with multiple kills, while blocks by Sophie Drollinger and Megan Hicks kept Justice at bay. Despite a late rally from Justice, a Barron kill secured a 25-16 win.

The second set saw Benedictine open with a commanding 6-0 run, fueled by aces from Vivianna Galvan and Sanchez, and a big block from Hicks. Justice fought back to tie the set at 10-10 and briefly took the lead, but Benedictine responded with a series of aces from Gracelynn Nez and Danyell Lopez. A Justice service error and a critical block paved the way for Barron to close the set with a kill, giving the Redhawks a 25-21 victory.

In the third set, Benedictine took control early with an ace from Sanchez and quick kills from Drollinger and Railey Druxman. Justice struggled with errors, allowing Benedictine to pull ahead 11-4. Aces from Lily Setka extended the lead to 18-8, and Druxman's strong play at the net continued to frustrate Justice. Benedictine wrapped up the sweep with a 25-12 win, as Kenley Horton finished the match with a decisive ace.
