Baseball Defeats ACU 10-5.

On Monday night, the Benedictine Mesa Baseball team clinched a convincing win over Arizona Christian University, finishing with a final score of 10-5.
 
The Redhawks initiated the scoring in the 1st inning, capitalizing on an error by ACU that allowed Joseph Cosenza to cross the plate. Although ACU managed to tie the game in the 4th inning, Ivan Santos' center field single brought Jacob Bauler home, regaining the lead. The 5th inning proved pivotal for BenU as Ryan Curran's home run propelled Carlos Parra, Preston Wine-Close, and himself across the bases, establishing a 5-1 lead. Ivan Santos continued to contribute with another single, this time to the shortstop, bringing Dylan Bangs home. Jose Romero's ground hit in the same inning allowed Joseph Cosenza to score, extending the lead to 7-1. In the 6th inning, Dylan Bangs hit a triple, enabling Ryan Curran to score, increasing the lead to 8-1. ACU made a late-game push in the 7th inning, scoring 4 runs and narrowing the gap to 8-5. However, Benedictine responded promptly, with Ivan Santos scoring a run through Jude Sullivan's single to center field. The game concluded with Jacob Bauler's hit to left field, allowing Dylan Bangs to score, sealing the victory at 10-5.
