The Benedictine Mesa Softball Team had a split result in Tuesday afternoon's matchup against Ottawa Arizona. The Redhawks secured a narrow 2-1 victory in the first game but faced a setback in the second, losing 1-5.
 
In the initial contest of the doubleheader, OUAZ took an early lead in the 2nd inning. However, the tide turned in the 7th inning when Stephany Aguirre's timely double to left field brought Natasha Lawrence and Brandee Ayala home, clinching the win for BenU.
 
In the second game, Benedictine took the lead with McKenzie Hamilton's double to right field, bringing Natasha Lawrence home. Unfortunately, OUAZ responded with a strong showing in the top of the 7th, scoring 5 runs. The Redhawks couldn't mount a comeback in the bottom of the 7th, resulting in OUAZ securing the victory.
