The Benedictine Mesa Men's Basketball team delivered a commanding performance on Thursday night, securing a dominant 84-68 victory over Saint Katherine.
 
Eric Norton initiated BenU's scoring with a well-executed jumper, but Saint Katherine quickly extended their lead to 5 points. However, the Redhawks swiftly retaliated, leveling the score at 9-9. Throughout the game, both teams exchanged leads, with Benedictine holding a modest lead of up to 6 points several times. As the first half drew to a close, BenU held a 41-35 advantage.
 
Returning from halftime, the Redhawks surged with a 7-point run, setting the tone for the remainder of the game. While the Firebirds attempted to halt their momentum, BenU continued to build on their lead, with Saint Katherine trailing by 13 points at least. At some times, Benedictine even extended their lead to 20 points. The second half was characterized by physical play, with the Redhawks dominating in rebounds, steals, and blocks, ultimately securing the decisive 84-68 victory.
