The Benedictine Mesa Softball team secured victories against La Sierra in their Monday doubleheader, clinching the first game 4-2 and the second 4-0.
In Game 1,
Samantha Lawrence's singles in the second and fourth innings brought in
Lauren Franco and Amanda Clark respectively. Lawrence's caught stealing allowed
Ariana Knight to score. La Sierra responded with two runs, but
Emma Tufnell's seventh-inning double allowed McKenzie Hamilton to score, securing a 4-2 win for the Redhawks.
Game 2 saw
Natasha Lawrence's sacrifice fly in the third inning score
Brandee Ayala, while Franco and Hamilton added runs in the fourth and seventh innings. The Redhawks sealed the game 4-0.
