The Benedictine Mesa Softball team split the doubleheader against Westcliff. In the first game, the Redhawks narrowly fell short with a 1-2 score, while in the second game, they secured a 2-1 victory, handing the Warriors their first conference loss.
In the initial matchup, Westcliff took an early lead with two runs in the 2nd inning. The Redhawks responded in the 3rd inning when
Brandee Ayala crossed the plate on a fielding error, but despite a strong effort, Benedictine lost 1-2.
In the subsequent game, BenU grabbed an early advantage by scoring 2 runs in the first inning.
Samantha Lawrence's single to center field allowed
Brandee Ayala to score, while McKenzie Hamilton capitalized on a center field fielding error to cross the plate. Although Westcliff managed to score one run in the 5th inning, the Redhawks maintained their lead, clinching a 2-1 win.

Brandee Ayala was instrumental, securing 2 hits on 4 at-bats with 1 run and a stolen base in the first game. In the second game, Ayala contributed one hit on 3 at-bats along with another run. McKenzie Hamilton's double on 3 at-bats resulted in one run in the second game.
Samantha Lawrence made an impact with one run and one RBI on three at-bats in the second game.
