The Benedictine Mesa Beach Volleyball team faced a 1-4 defeat against Wayne State on Monday afternoon.

In the opening pair,
Annika Wallace and
Kylie Bartel secured a victory in the first set with a score of 21-19.  They maintained the momentum and won the second set 21-15. Benedictine's second pair,
Megan Hicks and
Jewel Carling narrowly lost the first set 18-21 and faced a 13-21 defeat in the second set.

The third pair,
Hattie Patton and
Keelan Memory, experienced a setback in the first set with a score of 15-21 but made a comeback, winning the second set 21-14. Unfortunately, they fell short in the decisive third set with a score of 11-15. In the fourth pair,
Sophie Drollinger and Haley White, a triumphant first set with a score of 21-14 was followed by a loss in the second set (15-21) and a close defeat in the third set (12-15).

The fifth pair,
Christina Sanchez and
Amanda Klotz, faced challenges in both sets, losing 18-21 in the first and 7-21 in the second.

Looking ahead, the Redhawks will return to the court on Wednesday, March 6th, to compete against Mesa Community College at 11 AM.
