In the opener, Benedictine took control in the 6th inning when Jack Fitzgerald capitalized on a shortstop error to score the first run. Subsequently, Daniel Miranda's single allowed Jacob Bauler to score, followed by Cameron Jowaiszas crossing the plate on a wild pitch. Jose Romero's single brought Miranda home, extending their lead to 4-0. They continued to add runs, with Ryan Curran and Carlos Parra contributing hits that led to further scores. Despite Simpson managing a run in the 8th inning, Benedictine clinched an 8-1 triumph.
