The Benedictine Mesa Baseball team suffered a 4-7 loss against OUAZ on Tuesday night.
Benedictine took an early lead in the 4th inning when
Jacob Bauler reached first on an error, allowing
Carlos Parra to score.
Daniel Miranda's single up the middle brought
Jack Fitzgerald home, making it 2-0.
Cameron Jowaiszas extended the lead in the 5th inning with a homer to left field, bringing the score to 3-0. However, OUAZ responded with 2 runs in the 6th inning. In the 7th, Jowaiszas stole third and scored on a throwing error, but OUAZ tied the game 4-4 in the bottom of the inning. OUAZ took the lead in the 8th, securing the victory 4-7. Despite their efforts in the 9th, the Redhawks were unable to score.
