The Benedictine Mesa Baseball team secured a 9-4 victory over La Sierra in the first game of their series.
La Sierra initially took the lead in the 3rd inning with an unearned run, edging ahead by 1. However, Benedictine equalized in the 6th inning with a sacrifice fly to right field, allowing
Carlos Parra to score and tie the game at 1-1. La Sierra regained the lead in the 7th inning with 2 runs, but the bottom of the 7th saw a remarkable surge from BenU, scoring 8 runs courtesy of

Daniel Miranda, propelling the Redhawks to a 9-3 lead. Although La Sierra managed to score one run in the top of the 8th, Benedictine's defense held firm, securing the 9-4 win.
