The Benedictine Mesa Softball team secured a victory in their first game of the Cal Pac Tournament but stumbled in their second matchup against Embry Riddle, with scores of 7-4 and 0-13, respectively.
In the opening game,
Amanda Clack ignited the Redhawks' offense with a third-inning homer.
Leiana Madrazo followed with a crucial triple, driving in
Brandee Ayala and
Autumn Giannini, while
Gabrielle Perez's single brought Madrazo home. McKenzie Hamilton's double added another run, giving Benedictine a 5-0 lead. Despite Park's late push, including two runs in the fifth and sixth innings, Clack's seventh-inning double sealed the 7-4 victory.
However, in the second game, Embry-Riddle dominated early, scoring five runs in the first inning and adding eight more in the fourth, ending the game prematurely at 0-13.
