A Look at the Records Broken by Baseball in the 2023-2024 Season

In the 2024 baseball season, three school records were broken, all by pitcher Kameron Haviland.

The first record he broke was for career innings pitched. Haviland surpassed the previous record holder, Ivan Torres, who had pitched 184.1 innings between 2018-19, by pitching 218.2 innings over his three-year career with the Redhawks. The second record Kameron broke was for career strikeouts, also taking that record from Ivan Torres, with a total of 206 strikeouts. The final record, once again previously held by Ivan Torres, was for career wins, which Kameron broke with an impressive 22 wins as a Redhawk.

In addition to these three broken records, two school records were tied. Cameron Jowaiszas hit 11 home runs in a single season, tying the existing record. Jack Fitzgerald tied the record for hits in a single game with five hits in the March 19th game against Arizona Christian.

We look forward to seeing what records the Redhawks will break in the upcoming 2025 season. Thank you for tuning into the stories of the school records broken this past season by our Redhawks. We cannot wait to see what our Redhawks achieve in the upcoming athletic year.
