Benedictine University Mesa is excited to announce that we are joining a new athletic conference. After many years in the Cal Pac, the Redhawks are now part of the Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC).
 
Athletic Director Charlie Averkamp expresses everyone's excitement for the new conference: "I am excited for our student athletes to compete in the new Great Southwest Athletic Conference (GSAC)! We are thankful for our time in the Cal Pac and look forward to the next chapter of Redhawk Athletics in the GSAC. Having all five NAIA Arizona schools in the same conference, along with top Southern California schools, will shine a light on the high level of athletes we have in our region. The future of BenU Mesa athletics is bright, and we can't wait to compete in the GSAC!"
 
The schools that are part of the new conference along with BenU are: Arizona Christian, Embry-Riddle, Hope International, Life Pacific, OUAZ, Park Gilbert, and The Master's. With all these schools in one conference, the athletic competition is going to be strong, but our Redhawks will rise to every occasion.
 
We are all looking forward to seeing how our Redhawks perform in the new GSAC!
