Benedictine Men's Basketball standout Tanner Crawford has been honored as the GSAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year, a testament to his impact on both ends of the court. His defensive presence and all-around performance played a crucial role in the team's success this season.
Crawford showcased his versatility by scoring 263 points while making his mark defensively with 21 steals, 140 rebounds, and an impressive 43 blocks. He led the GSAC in blocks per game, averaging 1.7, solidifying himself as one of the top rim protectors in the conference. Additionally, he ranked seventh in the GSAC in rebounds per game with 5.4 and demonstrated efficiency on offense, finishing second in the conference in field goal percentage at an outstanding .645.
Crawford's ability to dominate in the paint and his defensive leadership made him a key player for Benedictine throughout the season. His recognition as Co-Defensive Player of the Year is well-earned and highlights his hard work and dedication.
