The Benedictine University Mesa men's soccer team delivered a dominant performance on Friday night, defeating Justice College 10–0 in front of the home crowd. From the opening whistle, the Redhawks controlled possession, created relentless pressure, and showcased clinical finishing across both halves.
First Half Control
Benedictine wasted no time asserting themselves, peppering the Justice defense with early chances. Goalkeeper Adrian Bejar stood tall with several saves, but the breakthrough came in the 19th minute when
Ethan Lush netted the opener off a feed from
Carlos Barraza.
Ryder Padgett doubled the lead in the 28th minute before
Rodrigo Bonilla added a third in the 36th. Just before halftime,
Raegan Rintoul buried Benedictine's fourth goal, giving the Redhawks a commanding 4–0 advantage at the break. Goalkeeper
Moritz Ae kept the sheet clean with key stops on the few Justice opportunities.
Second Half Surge
The Redhawks carried their momentum into the second half, striking just two minutes in. Barraza extended the lead to 5–0 off an assist from Rintoul. Lush followed with his second of the night in the 51st minute, assisted by
Edwin Arias.
From there, the floodgates opened.
Sander Kuehn scored in the 60th minute,
Jonas Foppen added a goal in the 77th, and Padgett tallied his second just a minute later. The onslaught continued when
Jack Taylor found the net in the 82nd minute, capping the scoreline at 10–0.
