The Benedictine Mesa men's golf team put together three solid rounds at the Park University Fall Shootout, highlighted by steady improvement and several standout performances across the leaderboard.
Round One
The Redhawks opened with a steady start.Â
Eric Klutke paced the team with aÂ
2-under-par 70, carding a sizzling back nine 33 to post the team's best round of the day.Â
Charlie Gingras stayed consistent with aÂ
74 (+2), while bothÂ
Joe KellyandÂ
Ethan Burbridge shotÂ
78 (+6).Â
Joaquin Salgado rounded out the lineup with anÂ
80 (+8).
Round Two
The second round saw the Redhawks make a major leap. Klutke caught fire, posting aÂ
6-under-par 65, fueled by a remarkableÂ
4-under 31 on the back nine. Gingras followed with a clutchÂ
68 (-3), keeping the momentum alive. Salgado and Burbridge each cardedÂ
71 (E)Â to give the Redhawks four strong counting scores. Kelly battled through for aÂ
74 (+3).
Round Three
Benedictine closed the tournament in style with four scores of par or better. Salgado led the way with a brilliantÂ
68 (-3), finishing strong with back-to-back 34s. Klutke and Gingras both turned inÂ
70s (-1), while Kelly chipped in a steadyÂ
72 (+1). Burbridge completed the day with aÂ
73 (+2), highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 14th.
