Benedictine Mesa vs Hope International

3–2 victory over No. 6 Hope International at the Huntington Beach Volleyball Courts.
The match featured momentum swings across all five courts, with both nationally ranked programs battling through multiple three-set duels.
Hope International grabbed the early edge with a dramatic win on Court 1, as Sabrina Galassi and Bryce Swain edged Benedictine's
Taylor Erickson and
Amaya Evans in a tight three-setter, 18-21, 21-19, 16-14.
The Redhawks immediately countered. The Court 2 duo of
Sophie Drollinger and Daisy Motes dominated start to finish, controlling both sets in a decisive 21-9, 21-12 win to even the match. Momentum continued to swing Benedictine's way as
Nicole Gary and Izzabella Duchaine put together one of the team's most efficient outings of the day, defeating HIU's Noa/Zimmerman 21-18, 21-15 and giving the Redhawks a 2–1 match lead.
On Court 4, Benedictine clinched the dual with a clutch comeback effort from
Ella Burton and Janae Moore. After dropping the opening set 8-21, the pair responded with poise, grinding out a 23-21 second-set victory before sealing the match in the third, 15-11. Their resilience secured the Redhawks' decisive third point.
With the overall result in hand, Court 5 swung toward Hope International, as Manaia Mamea and Phoebe Sebby edged Benedictine's Prieto/Garey in another three-setter, 21-14, 10-21, 15-11, narrowing the final team tally to 3–2.
Benedictine Mesa vs The Master's
Facing their second nationally ranked opponent in a back-to-back doubleheader in Huntington Beach, the No. 9 Benedictine Mesa Redhawks put up competitive fights on multiple courts but ultimately fell 5–0 to No. 3 The Master's University.
Despite the sweep, the Redhawks pushed three of the five main-draw matches to decisive third sets, showing resilience against a TMU squad ranked among the nation's elite.
On Court 1,
Taylor Erickson and Amaya Evans delivered one of the tightest battles of the day. After dropping the first set 21–14, the pair responded with a strong 21–16 second-set win before narrowly falling 15–11 in the third.
Court 2 featured another thriller, as
Sophie Drollinger and Daisy Mates traded set wins with TMU's Rodriguez/VanGroningen. The Redhawks stole the second set 23–21 but came up just short in the deciding frame, 15–12.
The Masters gained momentum through straight-set victories on Courts 3 and 4.
Nicole Gary and Izzabella Duchaine battled but fell 21–16, 21–14, while
Ella Burton and Bella Garey were topped 21–13, 21–16 by TMU's consistent attacking and ball control.
On Court 5,
Adina Ortiz and Haley Azzoz forced one more three-set duel. They answered a 21–14 opening-set setback with an impressive 21–14 second-set win, but TMU regrouped to claim the third set 15–10, securing the sweep.
