Baseball Sweeps OUAZ in doubleheader

Game 1:
Benedictine Mesa used timely power and a timely seventh and eighth-inning push to pull off a 7–6 comeback win on the road at OUAZ.

OUAZ took an early 2–0 lead in the first, but the Redhawks answered immediately in the second when Ben Schnurman and Tyler Jackson launched back-to-back solo home runs to tie it.

In the fourth, BENU surged ahead as Oliver Davies crushed a three-run homer, putting the Redhawks up 5–2. OUAZ responded with three runs in the bottom half to tie the game 5–5.

The Redhawks delivered the decisive blow in the eighth inning. Anthony Setticasi singledZeus Durazo followed with a hit, and Davies drove in another run with an infield single, pushing BENU ahead 7–6.

The Redhawks' bullpen shut the door in the ninth, stranding the tying and winning runs in scoring position to secure the victory.

Game 2:
Benedictine Mesa wasted no time in Game Two, scoring four runs in the first inning behind Tyler Jackson's three-run double and an RBI single from Anthony Setticasi.

In the third, Ben Schnurman added to the lead with a solo home run making it 5–0. OUAZ pushed across two in the fourth, but the Redhawks answered with a sacrifice fly by Jack Moore to extend the lead to 6–2.

From there, BENU pitching and defense shut the door, holding OUAZ scoreless over the final three innings to secure the win and complete a dominant performance in Game Two.
