Box Score Lancaster, CA- Benedictine men's basketball started the season picking up a pair of road wins this past weekend.Â
First the Redhawks dispatched West Coast Baptist University in high scoring fashion 99-70 on November 2nd. Senior wing Emad Elniel led the onslaught scoring 15 points in 16 minutes of action. Junior center Tanner Crawford scored 14 points and blocked 4 shots. Senior guard Cornell Greenwood scored 11 points.Â
On Saturday the Redhawks beat GSAC member Life Pacific University by a final score of 88-78. Scorching from outside the Redhawks shot 50% from beyond the 3pt line and led at the half by 19 points.Â
The second half saw the lead close to as few as 9 points but senior point guard Eric Norton iced the game from the free throw line making 13 of his 15 attempts. On the contest Norton led the Redhawks scoring 36 points, good for second most points in a single game by a Benedictine men's basketball player. Cornell Greenwood scored 18 points and hauled in a team high 8 rebounds.Â
The Redhawks are back in action November 7th as they take on D1 Weber State University in an exhibition game in Ogden, UT.Â
