Box Score 2 MESA, Ariz. – The Benedictine University Mesa softball team opened their conference season with two walk-off wins against Westcliff University. The Redhawks took the first game, 6-5, and the second game, 4-3. The Redhawks are now 4-10 overall and 2-0 in Cal Pac.
Mckenzie Hamilton led the offense for the day going 3-for-7 with two RBI. Shauncey Masaweistewa put the Redhawks on the board in the first game to spark the comeback with a two run homerun over centerfield. Masaweistewa went 3-for-5 with two walks. Tia Craig went 3-for-7 with a single to center to force in the winning run for the Redhawks in game one.
Aurora Brown put the Redhawks on the board in the second game on a single to center scoring two runs. Shauncey Masaweistewa was in the box with two outs in the bottom of the seventh when the first pitch resulted in a passed ball scoring Samamtha Lawrence.
