The Benedictine Mesa Women's Volleyball Team was defeated by The Master's in the GSAC Women's Volleyball Championship in four sets, with the final scores being 25-21, 23-25, 24-26, and 18-25.

The Redhawks started strong in the first set, securing a 25-21 victory in a thrilling back-and-forth battle. Both teams exchanged points early, with Ruby Duncan and Kinsley Kollman leading the charge for The Master's. Benedictine responded with powerful kills from
Kylie Bartel and
Railey Druxman. Key plays, including a service ace by Druxman and strong kills from
Amanda Klotz and
Gracelynn Nez, allowed the Redhawks to capitalize on The Master's errors. The set was tied at 21-21, but Benedictine closed out the set with four consecutive points, including a block by Bartel and Klotz, to secure the win.

In the second set, Benedictine fought hard but fell short, losing 23-25. The set saw multiple ties, including at 14-14 and 18-18, as both teams traded momentum. Druxman's kills and service ace were key contributions, but The Master's capitalized on a late service ace from Grace Colburn and held on to take tie the match 1-1.

The Redhawks battled valiantly in a tightly contested third set, but ultimately lost 26-24. Benedictine held a 12-5 lead, aided by contributions from Nez, Patton, and Wallace. However, The Master's mounted a comeback, tying the score at 16-16 and then capitalizing on errors from the Redhawks to win the set. Despite efforts from Bartel, White, and Carling, The Master's finished strong to clinch the match victory.

In the fourth set, Benedictine fought to stay in the match but couldn't overcome The Master's early lead. After taking a brief lead with a service error and a kill from Druxman, The Master's surged ahead with a series of aces and kills from Grace Colburn and Ruby Duncan. Despite a rally from Benedictine, including a kill from
Hailey White, The Master's maintained control and won the set 25-18, securing the championship.

The Redhawks may be in contention for an at-large bid to the NAIA Tournament, with the selection to be determined during the selection show which on November 18th at 11 PM MST. This season has been historic for the Redhawks, showcasing their resilience through both triumphs and challenges. We are incredibly proud of our Redhawks and are hopeful to see them compete in the NAIA Tournament.
