Softball Splits on the Day, 1 Win & 1 Loss

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 The Benedictine Mesa Softball team secured a 5-0 victory against Waldorf but faced a 2-5 defeat in their game against Madonna University.

Against Waldorf, the Redhawks took control with a stellar performance. They scored 3 runs in the third inning, added another run in the 5th, and sealed the win with one more run in the 7th inning. The final score stood at 5-0 in favor of BenU.

In the clash against Madonna, the opponents took an early lead in the first inning. Benedictine responded when Maddie Kallfelz was walked, allowing Amanda Clack to score. In the 3rd inning, Madonna scored one run, and Benedictine retaliated with a single by Samantha Lawrence, bringing Brandee Ayala home. The game ended in a tie after the 7th inning, forcing it into extra innings. Unfortunately, Madonna capitalized with 3 runs, and the Redhawks couldn't respond, resulting in a 2-5 loss.
