The Benedictine Mesa Beach Volleyball team faced a tough defeat against The College of Idaho, losing 0-5 during day two of the NAIA West Coast Qualifier.
In the first pair,
Kylie Bartel and
Annika Wallace fought hard but ultimately dropped both sets, 14-21. The second doubles,
Megan Hicks and
Jewel Carling, showed promise by taking the first set 21-13, but despite their efforts, they couldn't maintain their momentum, losing the next two sets 19-21 and 15-17.
Anna Brytkowska and
Haley Lopez lost both sets 16-21, while the fours pair,
Hattie Patton and
Courtney Ely, displayed commendable effort but were defeated 17-21 and 13-21. The last duo,
Sophie Drollinger and Haley White, put up a valiant effort, narrowly losing the first set 18-21 and the second set 14-21.
This marked the final match of the season for the Redhawks, who closed out the beach season with a significantly improved record compared to the previous year. Throughout the season, these Redhawks demonstrated unwavering dedication and resilience, showcasing their best efforts despite both victories and defeats.
