The Redhawks responded in the bottom of the inning when G. Perez singled to drive in A. Jenkins, cutting the deficit to 2-1.

Carroll added another run in the third when T. Sayers doubled, setting up an unearned run for B. Notbohm to extend the lead to 3-1. However, Benedictine Mesa answered back immediately, as L. Madrazo scored on an error, and S. McDaniel's RBI single tied the game at 3-3.

The Saints briefly regained the lead in the fourth when E. Koerber scored on a catching error, but the Redhawks took over in the fifth. Perez doubled to bring in Jenkins, tying the game again at 4-4. Moments later, McDaniel's RBI double scored F. Hahn, giving Benedictine Mesa its first lead at 5-4.

A dominant sixth inning sealed the win for the Redhawks. J. Corona singled to bring home A. Ogden, followed by a two-RBI single from Perez. McDaniel then capped off the rally with a two-run double, securing a commanding 10-4 victory.
