Benedictine Mesa's Bobby Romitti and Hailey White were named the Cliff Hamlow Champion of Character Award winners for 2025. 

The Great Southwest Athletic Conference has honored 20 student-athletes with the 2025 Cliff Hamlow Champion of Character Award, recognizing one male and one female from each GSAC campus. Recipients exemplify the NAIA's core values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Sportsmanship, and Servant Leadership, and must be juniors or seniors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The award is named after longtime GSAC Commissioner and NAIA Champions of Character founder, Dr. Cliff Hamlow.

A standout on Benedictine's beach and indoor volleyball teams, Hailey White balances academics, leadership, and service. With a 3.396 GPA, she's a consistent honor roll student and was twice named a Cal Pac Champion of Character. She supports student life initiatives, is active in the Black Student Union, and volunteers with several community programs including Feed My Starving Children and St. Mary's Food Bank. Hailey plans to pursue a career in forensic psychology and serve as a profiler for the FBI.

Baseball player Bobby Romitti maintains a 3.805 GPA and has earned a perfect 4.0 for two consecutive semesters. He serves on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, advocating for his peers and organizing student events. Bobby also volunteers at local food banks and mentors young athletes at his family's baseball facility in Sacramento. He plans to pursue a master's in counseling psychology while continuing to serve others through coaching and community outreach.
