Women's Volleyball Defeats OUAZ in Thrilling 4 Set Match

Benedictine Mesa Women's Volleyball secured a thrilling four-set victory over OUAZ with scores of 25-22, 18-25, 25-22, and 25-23.
 
Benedictine Mesa came out strong in the opening set against OUAZ, with Hailey White registering the first kill off a setup from Vivianna Galvan. The teams traded points early, but a block by Kylie Bartel and Hailey White gave Benedictine momentum. Railey Druxman added several key kills, while service aces from both Druxman and Bartel extended Benedictine's lead. Despite OUAZ's efforts, Benedictine capitalized on multiple attack errors by their opponent, pushing ahead 19-15. Late kills by Megan Hicks and Bartel secured the advantage, and a block by Bartel and Amanda Klotz ended the set 25-22 in favor of Benedictine Mesa.
 
In the second set against OUAZ, Benedictine struggled early on, falling behind 6-1 after a series of errors and strong blocking from the opposition. A timeout helped the Redhawks regain composure, with kills from Hailey White and Kylie Bartel narrowing the gap to 6-4. OUAZ continued to apply pressure, extending their lead to 13-7 before another Benedictine timeout. Despite a resilient effort with key kills from Bartel and Railey Druxman, and a service ace from Druxman that brought the score to 14-10, OUAZ capitalized on Benedictine's errors to close out the set 25-18.
 
Benedictine battled through a tight third set against OUAZ, ultimately securing a 25-22 victory. The set opened with Benedictine claiming an early lead thanks to kills from Gracelynn Nez and Hailey White. Both teams exchanged points, with OUAZ keeping the score close, but critical plays from Kylie Bartel and Railey Druxman, combined with a service ace from Bartel, pushed Benedictine ahead 19-16. Despite a late rally from OUAZ to tie the game at 22, Benedictine's resilience shone through as Druxman delivered two crucial kills. The set was sealed with a block from Nez and White, giving Benedictine a hard-fought win.

With the score tied at 23-23, Nez delivered a clutch kill, and a final block from Hicks and Klotz sealed the set and match win.
