Women's Volleyball Fall Short to TMU In a Close 3 Sets

In a hard-fought first set, Benedictine Mesa came out strong, establishing an early lead with quick points from a service error by The Master's and an attack error, giving Benedictine momentum. Despite efforts from key players like Railey Druxman and Kylie Bartel, The Master's countered with strong kills from Grace Colburn and Kinsley Kollman, building a lead. Benedictine rallied, with Bartel delivering a crucial service ace, bringing them within striking distance late in the set. Though Benedictine tightened the score to 21-23 with kills from Gracelynn Nez and timely attack errors from The Master's, a late error allowed The Master's to close out the set 21-25.
 
Benedictine came out strong in the second set, taking an early 4-1 lead with sharp plays from Gracelynn Nez and Railey Druxman, who landed a service ace and forced multiple errors from The Master's. Benedictine's momentum continued as Kylie Bartel and Annika Wallace added points to stretch the lead to 10-5. However, The Master's countered and tied the set 15-15, pushing Benedictine to call a timeout. Benedictine fought back to edge ahead 19-17 with key kills from Bartel and Hailey White, yet The Master's responded to level the score at 24-24, ultimately clinching the set 26-24. Despite Benedictine's fierce resilience, The Master's capitalized on crucial errors, shifting the match's momentum.
 
Benedictine Mesa came out strong in the third set with an early lead, showcasing key plays from Hailey White and Railey Druxman. Despite steady kills and an ace from Gracelynn Nez, the lead fluctuated as The Master's battled back, keeping the score close. Benedictine's defense, highlighted by blocks from Megan Hicks and Amanda Klotz and digs by Hattie Patton, temporarily regained momentum, tying the game at 16-16. However, The Master's consistency under pressure allowed them to pull ahead again. Benedictine's late-set rally, with additional points from Bartel and Druxman, cut the gap to 22-24, but The Master's secured the final point, ending the set 25-22.
