Five members of the Benedictine Mesa Men's Soccer team have been honored with selections to the GSAC All-Conference Team Presented by Under Armour: Gergo Varga, Ryder Padgett, Carlos Barazza, Jack Taylor, and Moritz Ae.
Varga has been outstanding all season, leading the Redhawks with nine goals—ranked fifth overall in the GSAC. He earned GSAC Player of the Week honors twice and was also recognized nationally as the NAIA Player of the Week.
Padgett has been equally impressive, recording six goals and a conference-leading ten assists this season. He also picked up a GSAC Player of the Week award for his stellar performances.
In the midfield, Barazza has been a key playmaker and defensive anchor, contributing two goals while maintaining control and composure in the center of the pitch.
Senior defender Jack Taylor has been the backbone of the Redhawks' defense, providing leadership and stability throughout the season. Taylor also added two goals and one assist to his resume.
Goalkeeper Moritz Ae, a sophomore, played a vital role in the Redhawks' success this season. In just 12 appearances, Ae recorded 40 saves, the third-most in the GSAC, while suffering only one loss all year. He also earned GSAC Defender of the Week honors for his standout performances.
These five players have been instrumental in the Redhawks' outstanding season, showcasing not only their talent but also their leadership and commitment to the program. Congratulations to all five on this well-deserved recognition!
