Game 1:
Park–Gilbert used a four-run first inning—highlighted by a
grand slam from Briannica Titus—to jump ahead early but a late Benedictine Mesa comeback allowed the Redhawks to take the win, 8-7.
Benedictine answered in the bottom of the first when
Alexa Rice blasted a 2-RBI triple to make it 4–2. Park added three more runs through the third, stretching the lead to 7–2 before the Redhawks began clawing back.
BENU chipped away in the third with a sac fly from
Shayla Young, then broke through again in the fifth. After
Negasse Williams walked and stole second, Young crushed a
two-run homer, and
Jasleen Calderon added an RBI single to pull the Redhawks within 7–6.
Strong defensive innings kept Benedictine in it, and the Redhawks had multiple chances late—including two runners on in the sixth—but Park escaped each threat.
In the seventh, BENU loaded the bases with no outs, and
Alexa Rice delivered again with a two-RBI single to center, completing the comeback and securing an
8–7 walk-off win for the Redhawks.
Game 2:
Benedictine Mesa used a massive sixth-inning surge to erase an early deficit and power past Park–Gilbert, earning a 5–2 comeback victory at home.
Park struck first in the opening inning, loading the bases and pushing across a run on a fielder's choice to take a 1–0 lead. BENU put runners on in both the first and second innings but couldn't break through, and the Buccaneers held their advantage into the third.
After a quiet stretch on both sides, Park added a run in the fifth on a sacrifice fly, extending its lead to 2–0. Benedictine threatened multiple times—including a two-hit second inning and runners on in the fifth—but entered the bottom of the sixth still searching for its first run.
Then the Redhawks erupted.
With two outs,
Chloe Wright launched a solo home run to left, finally putting BENU on the board. The inning snowballed from there: pinch-hitter
Jasleen Calderon singled, and the Redhawks strung together four straight hits.
Emma Tufnell and
Negasse Williams loaded the bases, and
Annaleia Jenkins delivered the swing of the game—an opposite-field triple that cleared the bases, giving Benedictine a 4–2 lead.
Moments later,
Shayla Young doubled home Jenkins to cap the five-run outburst and make it 5–2.
